This recipe was one of our family's favorites when I was child growing up. Give it a try. It's fast and easy too! CHOCOLATE MAYONNAISE CAKE 2 cups flour 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa 1 cup mayonnaise 1teaspoon vanilla Frosting of your choice Preheat the oven to 350 F. Combine all ingredients with an electric mixer on medium speed. Mix well. Divide the batter between two 8-inch round cake pans that have been lightly oiled and floured. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely. Frost. FROSTING SUGGESTION 1 Stick butter or margarine softened 4 Cups confectioner's suger 1 Teaspoon vanilla 1/4 Cup milk Beat all ingredients with an electric mixer until creamy. Use at room temperature. I am interested in authentic Mexican recipes. If you have any you would like to share please e-mail them to me. Thanks a bunch and happy cooking! Linda | |||||||||||||||||||||||

Million, Lorton, and Sheperd | My husband is interested in information on the Million family name. He knows that is grandfather drowned at age 36 in Kansas or Oklahoma. He thinks is name was Alonzo Million. He knows that he had had one hand or arm amputated. His father, John Million, grew up in Kansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. My maiden name is Lorton. I can trace back four generations including mine. My great grandfather was Donald Lorton, his son was Clarence Lorton, my father was Glenn Lorton and was born in Riverside, California. Sheperd was my grandmother's maiden name. Her father was Jacob L. Sheperd. I know that he was from Ohio but that is as far as I've gotten. My grandmother was born and raised in Los Angeles, California in the late 1800's and early 1900's. If you have any information on the three surnames please E-mail me. If you think I can help with your search let me know.
